Delphinium

After I thought all the delphinium had bloomed, I find this beautiful Lavendar flower one hiding among the tall stems.  It is quite different from what I had in bloom before, so no sure where this came from, it is not very tall at all.

Delphinium is reaching for the sky

The Delphinium this week is seemingly reaching for the sky.  The blue plant is going to open to bloom this week as you can see the top spike here on the right.  Just a spectular plant this year.  Seems to have not been bothered by the storm last week.  You can see the strength of the flower stems in these photos.

White Delphiniumn

Loving my Delphinium this year.  I can't believe how big they got in one year.  That background fence is 4 feet high.  You can see the pink Lupine to the left of some of the photos.

Delphinium

This is the delphinium today.  Look at how tall it has gotten.  The fence behind it is 4 feet tall.  No support needed for this tall spike.  The plant has several spikes.

 Last year, I bought a few delphinium at our local supermarket, they were pretty.  This year will be their 3rd year (as they were 2 yr. old plants when purchased).  They should be spectacular.  One of them is a white one, a blue and a purple one.
