Dan's Rose
Last year I had to replace the mini Rose Bush I planted in 2007 in memory of my boyfriend Dan. Seems like the new bush survived the Winter and has nice formed blooms.

New Rose for Dan
This year since I lost the rose bush I planted in 2007 in memory of my boyfriend who had passed away, I found this rose bush that I took a liking to. I sure hope my Dan likes the color orange.

Geum is looking good this week
The Geum is looking to be in full bloom now. I have two different plants of this variety in the garden. You can see the Dan Sweeney yellow rose bush to the right of the Geum in this photo. The white Rose is kinda weather beaten from the recent rain storms we had. Hopefully it will recover. I can see the Scabiosa I planted this year is just starting to bloom. The very small Gaillardia (Blanket Flower) which came back in this spot from last year is just starting to bloom. A lot going on in this photo. The Candytuff is now finished blooming and I will give this plant a couple of weeks before cutting it back for the season. I have a small variety of Echinacea just coming into bloom to take it's place.

Photo of Dan's Rose
This is the picture of the rose I planted in memory of my boyfriend when he passed away in 2007. This was a beautiful mini potted rose bought at the grocery store. The plant is now 5 years old and doing great. It has grown so much, I had to prune it for the first time this year, and it has THORNS! now. It is still a minature rose bush, but it has grown a lot. The below photo is of the bush last Summer.

Pink Rose
The rose bushes are doing great. This is the pink bush blooming a beautiful flower. The bush just keeps on blooming and blooming.
This rose is for you Dan Sweeney
My boyfriend Dan Sweeney died in 2007. When I got the garden that summer, I bought a rose bush in his memory, actually it was one of those Parade Rose bushes. The bush has grown and flourished every year. I think of him every time my eyes see my garden. Aren't they pretty?
