I planted the marigolds in a half moon and close together as I wanted them to mass as they grew for an effect and I am pleased to say I am getting it. The marigolds are the first thing anyone always says upon walking up to my garden. The colors of orange and the orange/red are so vibrant against the green leaves of these plants, plus they help repel bugs in the garden. A win-win plant.

Beautiful display of marigolds!! They are filling in very nicely. Yes you are right about them helping to repel bugs in the garden. We have used them for this purpose in the vegetable garden also.
