Canadian Border Patrol - LOVE IT!!!

Antietam

This is such a dark purple, very pretty daylily, called Antietam.

Little Witching Hour

Moonlit Caress

I really like this particular daylily.  Diane is not crazy about this one and may be pulling it up after this year.  Joan, Mary, are you interested if I can't convince her to keep it?    This is a Near White Self With Yellow Ruffled Edging Green Throat.

Dragon Dreams - FFO

This is a new bloom for us this year.  We did not see any flowers from it last year.  It is called Dragon Dreams.  Dragon Dreams is a pale lavender with a rose red eye zone, which is etched with a eye blue lavender and a green throat.   Doesn't the first picture look like a light is on in the center of the flowers.

Dragon's Eye - FFO

This is a new bloom for the garden this year, as it did not bloom last year.  This one is called Dragon's Eye.  The bloom looks really good for a FFO.  Dragon's Eye is a pastel pink with red eye zone above a green throat.  The bold red eye zone extends over halfway on the petals for a striking accent.

This daylily has got to be one of my personal favorites, the blooms are always so perfect and there are plenty of them:

California Poppy

The small plant of California Poppy is still blooming and are actually pretty, take a look:

Blazing Star

The Blazing Star is getting ready to open bloom.  There are about a hundred of these spikes, should be pretty when fully open.

Shasta Daisy

I've had this plant in the garden since the beginning.  I've cut it back each year early, I seem to get better blooms from doing that.  The flowers look yellow as they open, turn to this white.

Pink Double Delight Echinacea

I purchased this very small plant (like a plug) 3 years ago from Spring Hill Nurseries for $19.99.  It has done nothing!!  When I thought I had pulled up all coneflowers in this section, I missed this one.  As it grew, I cut it back and when I bought the artesmia moss plant, I was going to pull it out.  For one reason or another, I kept putting it off.  This past Monday, that was on my "to-do" list, but I got tired from weeding and didn't.  In just a couple of days, this plant has come alive.  I'm happy I did not pull it up now.

This is what it is going to grow into:

Milkshake Echinacea

This was suppose to be a variety called Little Angel, but it is actually Milkshake.  I bought this as a plug a few years ago, this year it has come into it's prime.  You can see the blue Balloon Flower to the right.  The new orange rose bush is in the rear center.

Canadian Border Patrol - FFO and what a BEAUTY!!

Canadian Border Patrol has opened for the first time in 2 years.  I am so in awe of the beauty of this daylily.  It is a Cream with purple eye zone and green throat, edged lightly with purple.  This also has a 6 inch bloom.  So, soooooo pretty:
