Daylily Volcanic Explosion

This is the latest daylily open today in my daughter's garden. It is called Volcanic Explosion. The plant is only about 8" high, you can see this bloom is not as big as the Seminole Blood or the Mitchell Leichhardt.  Hope you enjoy the view as much as I did. Who says you have to go out to see and smell the flowers?  You can see the bloom to the right in this photo that will probably open tomorrow.  This plant is so tiny it looks like the flower is just blooming from the ground.  Image what these daylilies will look like next year when they are more mature.
